Led by Mr. Howard and meeting every Wednesday, is the robotics club. The students that attend the club participate in a trip to a college every year and challenge other schools with a robot they have created at Quaboag. Last year, Quaboag competed at Quincy college. Their goal was to construct a robot that could nudge a beach ball across the arena. In these competitions, two schools team up against another two. One student drives for the team and another directs; in total four students work together on a team.
Mr. Howard is an amazing teacher- compelling, kind and patient. Last year, Quaboag received trophy. Although our school didn’t rate high, we still contributed to something innovative and fun. This club is absolutely worth a try, so,if you can: take a step into Mr. Howard’s classroom and find out for yourself!
